Christmas PFs have about 31% higher unsubscription rates than other campaigns of the same company for the same audience on average. Christmas spirit does not seem to help your marketing.
An average unsubscription rate of an emailing campaign depends on many factors, but generally, it should be quite low. 0.2-0.4% are good figures. Some of Incomaker clients have this indicator as low as 0.05% what indicates a perfect targeting of campaigns and interesting contents. Generally, if you are under 1%, it is an acceptable result.
If it is higher, it should be something wrong with the campaign or the audience. High unsubscription rate says people apparently see your campaign less useful or even annoying.
Hence it is better to send a seasonal greeting (Christmas, Easter...) as an integral part of your regular communication.
