Set up pop-ups to collect contacts for your email database.

What is a teaser?

A teaser is a small element that gently reminds visitors about your offer – for example, with text such as “Get 10% off 🎁”.

Pop-up and teaser (displaying the teaser and pop-up)

Select this scenario:

This will create the following SmartFlow:

Audience: Here you can choose whether the pop-up should be displayed to known or unknown contacts.

We consider a contact to be known if they meet at least one of the following conditions:

If any of these events occur, we match the customer with their browser and start collecting data about them. Otherwise, the contact remains unknown to us.

Conditions: Here you can specify whether the pop-up or teaser should appear after a certain amount of time spent on the page, after the visitor has viewed a certain percentage of the page, or when they are about to leave the page. If you set multiple conditions, the pop-up will be displayed once all selected conditions are met.

Targeting: Here you can set the pop-up or teaser to appear only on specific pages, categories, or products.

Teaser

Allow teaser to be closed: You can choose whether visitors are allowed to close the teaser.

Design: Here you can customize the text appearance and choose where the teaser will be displayed.

Preview: Here you can see a preview of your changes.

Pop-up:

Create your pop-up using one of our templates. Choose the style you prefer and then customize the text.

Email address validation when submitting the pop-up

Do you want to prevent users from repeatedly subscribing through the pop-up after they have already subscribed once? Enable pop-up validation for the confirmation button.

Click the row containing the confirmation button. An editing window will appear where you can select “Validation on submission”.

Double opt-in

Confirming an email address from the user’s inbox may seem like an unnecessary extra step, but in practice, this setting helps protect you from typos, invalid email addresses, and spam submissions.

The Add email button for double opt-in will redirect you to the Templates section, where you can choose a suitable system or custom template and edit it.

An important part of the confirmation email is the Verify email button.

Add contacts to a list: Here you can choose which of your lists the contact will be added to after they confirm their email address.

Send Email

The final step is to add the email template that will be sent to the customer after they complete the double opt-in confirmation.

Once the customer confirms their subscription, the system automatically sends them a welcome email. In this email, you can welcome the new subscriber to your online store and include the promised discount coupon.

Your campaign is now ready and can be launched.
